Veggie, Day 3

Supplies running low, the men are failing. Send bacon.
Seriously though, it's not going too badly. Consulted the office's other vegetarian for advice and she suggested the broccoli and cheese baked potato/spring mix salad combination at Wendy's. I added fries and a frosty. It's a cruel, harsh world and I need all the encouragement I can get.

So far, so good.

also, (as far as fast-food/eating out), consider italian places (almost anything at an italian fast-food place can be made without meat - pasta dishes, pizza, etc); chinese, indian, african, and other ethnic restaurants; slightly "fancier" fast-food places like panera bread co.; anything of the tgi fridays/bennigans/applebees/chilis ilk; pancake houses and diners that serve breakfast-all-day; ... for starters.
don't be afraid to ask for something meatless, too, if you think it would taste just fine without the meat. (for example, a fancy salad that has chicken strips on it.) most places are very accommodating when it comes to tweaking the menu.
and don't forget to check out trader joe's if you want some ready-to-eat stuff to have on hand - their freezer section has LOTS of vegetarian options.

Don't forget that those fries are made with beef flavoring...
It's nearly impossible to get truly vegetarian fast food. On the web, they have lists of all the random ingredients that are animal-derived-- there's quite a lot that would surprise you.
Not that you really care; but if you're going to go truly vegetarian... :)
