Livin' Large in Barcelona, aka FormAPI 3

The FormAPI 3 presentation went better than I expected -- I was slotted in the main room, which I wasn't expecting at all, so there were odd moments of disorientation as I manned the "panel discussion table" solo. All turned out well, though, and I think the important bits got through. I'm tinkering around with a presentaiton-sharing site to post the slides; hopefully it will work.

Also? We found a crepe bar. The crepe artiste named Elmer made us awesome crepes with things like lime chocolate, and talked smack about George W. Bush. He's from Holland and -- in case this wasn't emphasized enough -- made really awesome crepes.

The guy in the crepe bar (crêpe is French for pancake) in Barcelona is from Holland, and is wearing a t-shirt with 'Belgique' (french for 'Belgium') on it. How euro-international can you be ! :-)

As someone who once wrote a horrible, broken, inflexible parameterized query-builder, I can say wholeheartedly that I am NOT Earl Miles. :D

Thanks! I'm glad that the talks were good. I'm hoping I can carve out some time in the next week or so to write up the new docs for the FAPI 3 workflow officially. Right now, the Upgrade Docs in the handbook list the new stuff as changes from FAPI 2, but don't describe it as a unified whole.

when you first mentioned "crepe bar" i was assuming it to be a drupal computer-y term I was unfamiliar with. then i realized, "oh, CREPES!" as if i couldn't guess you would go for the novelty of that! mmmmmm...

Anyway, in case you're wondering how things are here... Well, they're great! The crêpe-bar still exists and is gaining popularity by the day... What am I saying? By the MINUTE... Hahaha :P

Sir, it is very awesome to hear from you. Glad you found the post! I will definitely bundle up the photos I have of the Belgious fun we had and send them over. Or, at the very least, I can get them up on Flickr and point you to them. That might be easier as the original images are pretty huge...
