El Internet es extraño

This is why the terrorists hate us

Looming danger It's a well known fact that I am a slave to novelty candy. Put some refined sugar into a new shape, or mix it with chemicals and make it behave slightly differently than yesterday's refined sugar (gel, powder, fluff, plasma, etc) and I will be all over that.

So the other week, when I wandered by Wallgreens to pick up some stuff, spotting The Mallow Burger was a dream come true. I've had mini-gummi hot dogs, and I've had mini-gummi pizzas. But a genuine Marshmallow Hamburger, as big as an honest to goodness White Castle Slider? Bring it on, man. Bring. It. On.  Continue reading...

Okay, I'm not hardcore

Skimming over popular Google Video clips revealed an intriguingly named "Russian Climbing." After watching the video, I can safely say that this guy is pretty hardcore. There are jumps in the video that I'd only seen in Prince of Persia, and he's making them a few stories up on the concrete roof of an abandoned Russian apartment complex. Meanwhile, most of the people with any genuine opportunity or ability to effect global change are too busy patting each other on the back at conventions and blue-skying goofy social networking tools that are essentially useless to 95% of the world’s population, who live within fifteen feet of everyone they’ve ever known and have no need to track their fuck buddies with GPS systems.

I couldn't have said it better myself. Even forward-looking folks like the guys at WorldChanging tend to get sidetracked on cool shiny ecotech. There's nothing bad about it, but a lot of it focuses on allowing us to maintain a high standard of living -- not lifting others up.

Woody Allen Your film will be 75% romantic, 37% comedy, 25% complex plot, and a $ 38 million budget.
Be prepared to have your life story shot entirely in New York City --
though lately Woody's been loving shooting in London. Also, your music
soundtrack is all jazz from before 1949. Filmography: Annie Hall,
Manhattan, Stardust Memories, Everyone Says I Love You, etc. Woody has
released one film per year consistently for the past 35 years. For the
past 15 years he's been trying to make films like his older, funnier
ones, just like characters in his Stardust Memories film suggest
throughout. Regardless of his personal life, his films are American
classics. My test tracked 4 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
